Yoropen Pens and Pencils
Topic: Pens, Pencils
Yoropen --"Yoropen is the best ergonomically designed pen in the world. Winner of numerous international awards in design, invention and innovation, the revolutionary Yoropen relieves the discomforts of writing. It's features include finger support, adjustable grip and increased visibility. The finger support relaxes the writer's fingers, requiring very little pressure and reducing any strain. The adjustable tripod grip can be rotated to a preferred writing position (left-handers rotate the grip to the left). The angle of the pen allows for better visibility of your written work (left-handers won't suffer smudges). The mechanical pencil features a rotating barrel for a variable thickness of line. Perfect for artists and designers. Both pens and pencil are made of brass with a satin silver-plated finish." (I haven't tested it.)

»The Yoropen is available from FLAX Art & Design in San Francisco.

Pelikan 1000 review
Topic: Pens, Pencils
Pelikan M-1000 Fountain Pen Review -- "Let me get this out of the way quickly. There is no justification for a $300 pen. Even if it's a $500 list pen you got from Malaysia for $300, it's still a $300 pen and $300 for a pen in the days where a Sakura Gelly Roll can be had for a buck is pure madness. Yet knowing this, I risked hard earned cash with a moderately risky purchase on Ebay for a Pelikan M-1000 fountain pen. $300 is a lot of money. You can buy an Xbox 360 for $300 or hire a driver in Thailand for a whole year. What would lead a sane man to spend this much money on a pen?" Read the review by Mike Shea at (via
