Topic: Photography
Pogus Caesar -- OOM Gallery proudly presents a life time's work, showcasing Caesar's photography, photomontage and film collections. (link via Carl Lowell's comment)

"Pogus Caesar is best known for 35mm black and white photography and unique and compelling photo montages, created using traditional methods of cutting, burning and breaking images, using his photographs, resin, sand, dirt, pieces of cloth and other household materials."

"I like simplicity and prefer using fixed focus Nikon or Canon cameras, I just photograph the world around me, things I find interesting".

Phoenician Alphabet - Mother of Modern Writing
Topic: Education
Phoenician Alphabet, Mother of Modern Writing -- "Although the Phoenicians used cuneiform (Mesopotamian writing) in what we call Ugaritic, they also produced a script of their own. The Phoenician alphabetic script of 22 letters was used at Byblos as early as the 15th century B.C. This method of writing, later adopted by the Greeks, is the ancestor of the modern Roman alphabet. It was the Phoenicians' most remarkable and distinctive contribution to civilization." All about the Phoenician alphabet and anything Phoenician at phoenicia.org

My kids love this site. They made the storTrooper, and they say he looks like me.

Tex Avery Tribute
Topic: Animation
TexAvery.com is a tribute to the genius of cartoonist Tex Avery. He is the creator of such characters as The Wolf, Droopy, and Screwy Squirrel. His cartoon style of slapstick gags and hilarious situations are still being imitated today, over forty years after they were created. (via Cartoon Brew)
