Instant Labeling Tape
Topic: Signs
Instant Labeling Tape -- Hannes Koch has designed the Instant Labeling Tape as a simple, customisable, do-it-yourself signage system. By "blacking out" elements of a 14-segment display font on the tape, all you need is a black permanent pen to create your own temporary signs, labels and installations. Think moving house and labelling boxes, putting up official-looking signs or teaching your kids how to make letters.

Swedish Snus - New Brands
Topic: Advertising
Smokeless Snus -- Lots of new brands such as Lucky Strike, Prince and LD are currently being test-marketed in Sweden. (On 1. June 2005, smoking was banned in pubs and restaurants in Sweden.) I scanned a few 'snusdosor' (snuff boxes/cans) and uploaded them to my flickr

Snuff firms sniff a profit in smoking bans -- "It looks hellish, it tastes hellish and it smells hellish. But then, so does smoking" Read more at

"Moist smokeless tobacco is the only growing segment of the tobacco industry, with more than 920 million cans sold in 2004, almost double the total 20 years ago." according to the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (leading brands: Copenhagen and Skoal)

[Snus is a moist powder tobacco. The most usual way to consume snus is to place it beneath the upper lip, and keep it there for a time varying from a few minutes to several hours, according to taste. Learn more in this encyclopedia article]
