Gold Leaf Information
Topic: Art
Zinnober Gold Leaf Information -- "Zinnober.biz is a sister site to sinopia.com dedicated to making the use of gold easy for anyone to understand. Gold leaf has been used for thousands of years to adorn many different types of surfaces, yet very few people are actually aware of how gold surfaces are created and of the materials involved. Many people believe that a gold paint is used; in fact, thin sheets of gold are adhered to the surface." Find out How Gold Leaf is made (via OP Group)

Phoenician Alphabet - Mother of Modern Writing
Topic: Education
Phoenician Alphabet, Mother of Modern Writing -- "Although the Phoenicians used cuneiform (Mesopotamian writing) in what we call Ugaritic, they also produced a script of their own. The Phoenician alphabetic script of 22 letters was used at Byblos as early as the 15th century B.C. This method of writing, later adopted by the Greeks, is the ancestor of the modern Roman alphabet. It was the Phoenicians' most remarkable and distinctive contribution to civilization." All about the Phoenician alphabet and anything Phoenician at phoenicia.org
