Digital Ink well 2001
Topic: Pens, Pencils
Digital Ink Well -- "The e-mail pen combines leading edge electronics and industrial design expertise with a creative vision and gives an everyday familiar object an incredible new function. It enables users to read and write e-mails from their home without the need for being at your computer. Writing with the pen as you would with a normal pen, but on any chosen surface the e-mail pen captures the message digitally and displays it on the screen. By twisting the top of the pen the user selects an address and presses the button to send. The data is transferred via a bluetooth link to the ink well for processing and then via a land line, or GSM link to the internet and on to the recipient." (from a Cambridge Consultants Ltd press release 2001.)
